Back Rolls

Well today I offer a quick 30second remedy for people with rounded, hunched over posture. Over my years in practice, time & time again, I have people come into my offices complaining of neck pain, back pain & headaches and we have found in most cases the important role 'bad' posture plays in making these problems worse. We now know that Healthy Posture = Healthy Spines = Healthy Life & these simple exercises are really great if you are currently suffering with those same conditions, or even if you have noticed your posture isn't great and you spend a lot of your time at a desk, in front of a computer or watching Netflix on a tablet.

I call the exercises the Back Rolls.

These simple exercises using a foam roller are for people with a hunched posture or stiffness in their back. These days we find we're sitting far too much and these exercises a great simple way to improve your posture and get your back moving. I call the exercise the 'Back Rolls' and it consists of two very simple manoeuvres using a foam roller.

First: Place the roller on the ground in a vertical position and lie on it with your head supported, arms out to the side and palms up facing the ceiling and roll side to side 10 times.

Second: Place the roller horizontal to your body and gently roll your spine back and forth over the back of the roller.

It's really that simple and all it takes is 30 seconds every day.
