Finding the Right Bed Partner. Feathers or Foam?
Before you make your next pillow purchase, think about your sleeping style & do some research to find the one that best suits your individual style of sleeping. There's not one that's going to suit everybody but there is one that's right for you. It's just a matter of being smart, picky & choosing the right one carefully. Don't be charmed by looks alone & of course never go cheap. Make sure your pillow will do for you all that you would like it too - all night, every night....
And did you know that pillows have a use by date? The average pillow lasts about 18 months and after two years it is generally recommended to update. And if you're thinking that you really don't want to part with yours then think about this.... if your pillow is past its prime, it may contain skin cells, mould, mildew, fungus, and dust mites, which make up more than half of an older pillow's weight. Try having sweet dreams with that on your mind - or under your head! While in the office we do not promote any particular brand of pillow, over our years in practice we have sourced what we believe the most suitable pillows for most patients. The Therapeutic Pillow Company offer different versions of Memory Foam & Contoured Latex Pillows that can be ordered in by request & are fitted to your body size & sleep preference. If you have any questions about your current pillow or are considering updating to a new pillow, simply drop us a line & we will be happy to assist.
